It's time to introduce and feature another Stella's Art Gallery artist. Last week we took a look at Upcycling. This is very similar. The artist collages nature with man-made items. The combination is very strong and pleasing to the eye. So let's meet Glassthatrocks....
Glassthatrocks is owned by Christina Goetter. Christina started Glassthatrocks officially in November 2012. She
and her daughter like to collect rocks from the beach, or anywhere
really. Her daughter said "Mom you should make something with them."
So after some trial and error her first rock mosaic vases were born,
hence the name Glassthatrocks! She has since expanded to one of a kind
mosaic pieces from pendants to small furniture, made from rocks,
semi-precious stones, stained glass, and vintage plates. While some of
my items may be similar no two are exactly the same.
Check out her work! Her items are for sale on our website too! www.StellasArtGallery.com
Stella’s Art, Inc. began as a family of artists influenced by my grandmother whom was a painter, sculptor, and seamstress. Today, Stella's Art Gallery supports local artists from Northeast Ohio. You may see artwork, shop, scheduled classes/workshops, learn about our events, rentals, and read about our inspirations here and on our website http://www.StellasArtGallery.com
