Strong Beginning for Stella's Art Gallery in 2016.

There are so many new events happening with Stella's Art Gallery. For one, we are growing in numbers. In our next article you'll learn more about Richard Bailey, photographer, and Bob Ruscitti, glass and wood artist. Secondly, we are excited to share our first exhibit called Eclectic Roots. This show is a 10 day art exhibit featuring the Stella's Art Gallery artists: Dani Klein & Carol Pitts (Cofounders/Owners), Jodi Baldacci, Nancy Nelson Brotz, Julie Cook, Christina Goetter, Andrew Jeffries, Stephanie Pratt McRoberts, Natalie Catania Nelson, and Jeff Sivyer. This exhibit is a collaboration with the Lakeland Community College Art Gallery's show titled,  From Women IX... A show celebrating women's history month.

HOURS: March 11th 11-7pm, March 12th 1-9 with a reception open to the public 7-9; March 13th 1-6pm; March 11th 11-7; March 13th 1-6; March 14th through the 17th 11-7pm; March 18th and 19th 12-8pm; March 20th 1-6pm.

Thirdly, we have some new classes ready for registration! On March 1st Carol and Dani will teach you how to make these beautiful birch trees. They look difficult to do but are extremely simple. On March 3rd they will show you how to collage and paint whimsical birds for Spring. No experience needed, beginners welcome! Please call the numbers provided to register.

Learn how to paint birch trees by using a taping and scraping method. Very easy to do and will impress your friends. Beginners  welcome!

Impress your friends by painting a 10 X 20 canvas of whimsical folk   art birds. Use our stencils   to chose your birds to stack and trace. Wings and feathers are cut from decorated paper.

Lastly, we have a few busy artists. Nancy Nelson-Brotz will be continuing her Art Clubs: Madison Public library every Thursday 4:30-5:30 and Perry Public Library every Friday 4:30-5:30. She also teaches a drawing class at Rabbit Run beginning February 8, 5-6 pm for 6 weeks. Also, Nancy will be at the Mentor Senior Center February 18, 12:00pm-1:30 for a Coffee and Canvas event. She'll be back at the Perry Public Library on February 27 at 11 for a Family Art Class.  She'll instruct a class called "Create" class March 7th 6:30 at Madison Public Library. She'll teach the group how to use sharpies to decorate dishes.

Julie Cook has artwork in an exhibit called "Beautiful Cleveland" at the Willoughby Hills Community Gallery until the end of February. She is also showing in an exhibit called "It's Elemental" at the Valley Art Center. Click on the link below to see more about this show.
