"ECLECTIC ROOTS" Stella's Art Gallery Exhibit March 11-20th in Painesville, Ohio
We are having our first solo exhibit in collaboration with Lakeland College March 11-20th. This 10 day art exhibit in Painesville, OH features the
Stella's Art Gallery artists: Danielle Klein & Carol Pitts
(Cofounders/Owners), Jodi Baldacci, Nancy Nelson Brotz, Julie Cook,
Christina Goetter, Andrew Jeffries, Stephanie Pratt McRoberts, Natalie
Catania Nelson, and Jeff Sivyer. This exhibit is in collaboration with
the Lakeland Community College Art Gallery show titled, From Women IX...
A show celebrating women's history month.

During our exhibit we are offering classes to the public and performing demonstrations.

Lino Block Demonstration - Watch lino block and ink master Andrew Jeffries carve and ask questions about his work.
March 11th and 14th 5-7:00pm Free to the Public. No registration necessary.
Stained Glass Demonstration - Watch stained glass master Jodi Baldacci create and ask questions about her work.
March 12th 3-6:00pm Free to the Public. No registration necessary.
Eclectic Roots Reception - Meet all the Stella Art Gallery artists!
Free opportunity to mingle with the artists. Have a chance to ask questions and purchase art directly from the artists while sipping a glass of wine and enjoying a snack while refreshments last.
March 12th 7:00-9:00 Free to the Public.
Oil Pastel Landscapes - Explore oil pastels with Nancy Nelson-Brotz
Come learn how to manipulate smooth oil pastels. Nancy will teach you how to create a unique masterpiece for you to take home. This class is offered to students in first grade and up. Adults are welcome. March 13th 2:00pm-3:00pm Cost: $10 for material and instruction. Class limited to 20 people registration is required.

Watercolor Painting Demonstration - A chance to watch and ask Jodi Baldacci questions about watercolor painting.

Open House Art with Julie Cook - Painting with Traditional and Nontraditional tools.
Drop in to see the Gallery and meet Julie Cook. She is an acrylic painter that has mastered painting by using nontraditional tools. Watch her work and paint along with her using paper, paints, and Julie's "tools". March 14th 3-4:30 and March 19th 12:30-2:00. $2.00 material fee for those painting their own masterpiece to take home. Available while supplies last. No registration necessary. St. Patrick's Day Paint Night! - Come paint a 12"x 16" canvas with Carol and Dani
The Ladies will teach you how to paint a simple shamrock on a canvas to begin your St. Patrick's Day celebration. You do not need to be Irish to join us! After painting with us you can walk down to Your Vine or Mine for a drink! They have good food too! A great evening out with the girls or date night!
March 17th 6-7:30 $20 per person includes materials and instructional fee. Space is limited to 20 people. Registration is necessary.

Wine Glass Painting - Drop in and paint a wine glass or two with Carol
On March 18th From 1-4:00pm and again from 5:00-7:30 drop in and paint a wine glass. Carol will show you a simple grape pattern. $5.00 per glass while supplies last! Carafe not included.
No registration necessary.
Pottery - Come sculpt a Vessel with Dani
Learn how to create a vessel (vase or bowl) by using simple hand building methods. Participants will use air dying clay. No kiln firing needed. All pieces will go home at the end of class with an optional painting instructions to use once dry.
Cost: $15 per person includes materials and instructional fee. Ages 8 and Up. Space is limited to 10 people. Registration is necessary. March 20th from 1:00-2:15pm.

Strong Beginning for Stella's Art Gallery in 2016.
There are so many new events happening with Stella's Art Gallery. For one, we are growing in numbers. In our next article you'll learn more about Richard Bailey, photographer, and Bob Ruscitti, glass and wood artist. Secondly, we are excited to share our first exhibit called Eclectic Roots. This show is a 10 day art exhibit featuring the

Thirdly, we have some new classes ready for registration! On March 1st Carol and Dani will teach you how to make these beautiful birch trees. They look difficult to do but are extremely simple. On March 3rd they will show you how to collage and paint whimsical birds for Spring. No experience needed, beginners welcome! Please call the numbers provided to register.

Lastly, we have a few busy artists. Nancy Nelson-Brotz will be continuing her Art Clubs: Madison Public library every Thursday 4:30-5:30 and Perry Public Library every Friday 4:30-5:30. She also teaches a drawing class at Rabbit Run beginning February 8, 5-6 pm for 6 weeks. Also, Nancy will be at the Mentor Senior Center February 18, 12:00pm-1:30 for a Coffee and Canvas event. She'll be back at the Perry Public Library on February 27 at 11 for a Family Art Class. She'll instruct a class called "Create" class March 7th 6:30 at Madison Public Library. She'll teach the group how to use sharpies to decorate dishes.
